The Reinvention
Episode Description:
Shawn McCraney announces the final "Heart in the Park" event on August 21st, 2017, as the ministry faces financial challenges and prepares to expand their outreach through social media and digital platforms with content that addresses LDS topics. Despite his earlier reluctance towards social media, Shawn plans to implement Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, podcasts, and even a potential app to ensure the "Heart of the Matter" content remains accessible and engages a wider audience.
CAMPUSchurch.tv plans to expand its presence via social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, offering an inclusive approach to engage a broader audience and promote its teachings, while simultaneously ending new episodes of "Heart of the Matter" as of October 24, 2017. A new, more radical program launching on October 31, 2017, aims to reach a previously untargeted audience, challenging established religious traditions and beliefs with a focus on truth as interpreted from the Bible.
Shawn encourages open dialogue and unity in faith, despite facing harsh criticism and being labeled negatively by some, without resorting to preaching division or unforgiveness. As the ministry transitions to a new direction by October 24, 2017, it will focus on engaging with former Mormons, beginning with notable guests like Bishop Earl Erskine, to foster understanding and growth within the community.
