Shawn McCraney spent forty years as a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His life changed when he experienced what he describes as a spiritual rebirth, a personal awakening that led him to reexamine everything he believed about God, scripture, and religion. This began a very public, decades-long pursuit of Truth.

Shawn’s journey has been documented across weekly shows, open discussions, and thousands of hours of teaching, all of which now live freely on the Yeshuans platform.

Shawn McCraney spent forty years as a committed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before experiencing what he describes as a spiritual rebirth. That moment led him into a long, public search for Truth – first examining LDS doctrine, then exploring Evangelical Christianity, and eventually stepping away from both institutional systems in promotion of a direct, non-institutional relationship with God. Since 2006, Shawn has shared this journey openly through a number of formats including weekly Verse by Verse Bible Teachings since 2006, and Heart of the Matter, a weekly show where he discusses Mormonism, Christianity, fulfilled eschatology, and a personal walk with Yeshua free from authority claims, pressure, or religious control. HOTM has continued through multiple series, HOTM, Redux, Full Circle, Radicalized, and now ARK Steadied, all of which are available on the Yeshuans web and mobile app, along with courses, books, programs and discussion. Shawn has written more than fifty books on faith and theology, many of them relevant for LDS seekers.
