HOTM 1.0: Deconstructing Mormonism
From 2006 – 2013, “Born Again Mormon” Shawn McCraney hosts a live call-in show that is notorious for its unapologetic insistence on truth. Shawn presents topics on Mormonism, comparing them to the position of said topics from “Biblical Christianity”, and prompts listeners to look in their hearts and see if they have truly been born again.
HOTM 1.1: Deconstructing Evangelicalism
Upon the new year of 2013, Shawn spoke outrightly and hosted a show called “The Price of Truth”. In this episode, he addressed that he was tired of criticizing the “splinter” in the eye of Mormonism, when Christianity had a “log” in its own. Shawn spoke openly saying he was going to shift into focusing on the issues with Evangelicalism. Immediately the Christian television station kicked him off the air. Shawn rented a warehouse and fit it out as a small studio to keep the broadcast alive, and continue to search for Truth. The HOTM 1.1 Series goes deep into the issues with Evangelicalism from the perspective of a direct relationship with God.
HOTM 2.0: ReApproaching Mormonism
In this shorter series, Shawn takes a step back to look at Mormonism again with fresh eyes (after seeing the trouble with Christianity). This series offers many interviews.
HOTM REDUX: The Best Approach To Christianity On The Face Of The Earth
The HOTM Redux Series presents Christianity from the newly unearthed perspective that Shawn had come to in his research, encapsulated by the Spirit of Subjective Christianity. He covers a wide array of topics from this new perspective.
HOTM: Full Circle
Over the years, Shawn conducted research in the Bible and presented it at his Verse by Verse Teachings (formerly C.A.M.P.U.S.). The evolution that Shawn went through, as seen throughout the HOTM Series’, came full circle in 2024 to present a defense of Mormon individuals and their individual right under The Great News (the term used to describe Shawn’s perspective on faith) to pursue God as they see fit. While he is still heavily critical of Mormonism, and in fact brings arguments about the deep darkness from which the institution is based, he contends that God works in each individual to bring them to Himself.
HOTM: Radicalized
Beginning in 2025, Shawn will bring forth a new series called HOTM Radicalized. In this series, Shawn will present speculative thoughts on the application of the perspective presented by The Great News and how it radically shifts us away from how we know faith and institutional religion today.
HOTM Radicalized will air monthly on the first Tuesday of every month at 8PM on YouTube and on The Great News Network App.
